A curious leader is a thriving leader<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s an excerpt from a recent conversation I had with a leader:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Let me tell you something I only understood late in my career<\/em> - and I already had 20+ years of leadership under my belt at that point: curiosity is the engine of living, breathing leadership. <\/strong>Not the kind of curiosity that monitors or controls, but the kind that drives you to discover, connect, challenge the status quo, and keep learning.\"<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curiosity isn\u2019t a \u201cnice to have\u201d. It\u2019s a necessity.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I know what you're thinking: \"Great, another push to be a visionary, inspiring super leader...\"\n But no. What I\u2019m offering here is much simpler. More human. More real.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just an invitation to be curious.<\/strong> About what\u2019s happening out there, within you, and between us. Because we\u2019re all deeply connected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve always loved meeting people. And that only grew stronger when I left the corporate world to become a coach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Without a title, a team, or a formal role to back me, I had to step out even more. To ask. To explore. To actively cultivate curiosity.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And guess what? That\u2019s when I discovered a new kind of wealth: connections that transform.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The curious leader is a bridge builder.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As Simon Sinek says: \u201cFriendship is not just about being there for each other. It\u2019s about growing together.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s exactly what happened when I met L\u00e9a Gouider<\/a>.Two different journeys, two generations, two approaches - and a shared curiosity.\nThat\u2019s how our leadership program The Inspired Leaders was born.<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because when we close ourselves off, we shrink our learning potential.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve heard this sentence so many times:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Since I left my company, I realize I don\u2019t really have a network...\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The truth is, we were never really taught how to build bridges. But a a curious leader?<\/strong>They celebrate those bridges. They feed them. They help them grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In organizations, curiosity fuels innovation.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A curious leader brings the outside world in.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

They\u2019re not afraid to look elsewhere for ideas, to listen to different voices, to learn from other industries, countries, generations.
They don\u2019t just follow processes - they challenge them. With kindness, with purpose, with enthusiasm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And by doing that, they inspire their teams to do the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go see what another team, company, or sector is up to. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s where the magic happens.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

5 simple ways to practice curious leadership<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  1. Step outside the box.<\/strong> Meet, explore, and open up to other ways of seeing.
    <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Listen without rushing to respond.<\/strong> Just to truly understand.
    <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Experiment - even if it\u2019s messy.<\/strong> Learning happens in the doing.
    <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Keep learning.<\/strong> Read, observe, stay open.
    <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Build lasting connections.<\/strong> Because we\u2019re all interdependent.<\/strong>.
