It\u2019s also a time for me to step back, listen, learn alongside my peers and make inspiring connections!&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\">This month, I want to take you behind the scenes of coaching: what really happens in a coaching conversation. And why, as a leader, your own coaching posture matters.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-essential-blocks-advanced-heading  root-eb-advance-heading-w8ym8 gtfy-10\"><div class=\"eb-parent-wrapper eb-parent-eb-advance-heading-w8ym8\"><div class=\"eb-advance-heading-wrapper eb-advance-heading-w8ym8 button-1 undefined\" data-id=\"eb-advance-heading-w8ym8\"><h2 class=\"eb-ah-title\"><span class=\"first-title\"> What does a professional coach actually do?<\/span><\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"gtfy-13 wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"if-i-ever-had-any-doubts-moments-li\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table gtfy-16\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td>Those of you who have benefited from professional coaching know its advantages. It is a structured process grounded in listening, trust, and a strong alliance, and a space for reflection, perspective, and growth. It\u2019s a partnership where the coachee, supported by their coach, explores what needs to emerge, shift, or transform.\u00a0\u00a0<br><br>A professional coach is here to create the conditions for genuine thinking and meaningful change. Not to offer answers, but to help you discover your own.\u00a0<br><br>Concretely, a coach helps you:\u00a0<br>\u2013 clarify what\u2019s truly at stake\u00a0<br>\u2013 step back and see situations with a fresh perspective\u00a0<br>\u2013 identify your internal and external resources\u00a0<br>\u2013 explore your true levers for action\u00a0<br>\u2013 move forward towards change \u2013 consciously chosen, not imposed\u00a0<br><br>The role is to build your autonomy, your clarity and your sense of responsibility.\u00a0<br><br>The coaching offers you a space that is both safe and challenging. A space where you can think freely and move forward with intention. A space where listening, empathy, and care are at the heart of the relationship.\u00a0<br>What makes coaching truly effective is the balance between:\u00a0<strong>quality of presence<\/strong>(deep listening, trust, attention) and\u00a0<strong>strength of structure<\/strong>\u00a0(a clear framework, strong ethics, and strict confidentiality).<br><\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\">While the ICF deontology and core competencies guide my practice, I also seek inspiration from The Centre for Creative Leadership.
