This month, I\u2019m sharing a little gem I always recommend to leaders – whether they’re just starting out or have 20 years under their belt:\u00a0 \u201cThe Coaching Habit – Say Less, ask more & change the way you lead forever\u201d <\/em><\/strong>by Michael Bungay Stanier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why this book? Because in just 7 simple questions, it teaches you how to talk less, listen better, and lead smarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michael\u2019s core message is clear: as a leader, your job is not to have all the answers – it\u2019s to help others find theirs. That\u2019s what real coaching is about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s practical, relatable and powerful! You can read it in an evening.. and its lessons will stay with you for years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leadership nudges<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A habit to build this week<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My tip for you: next time one of your team members walks into your office with a question – and you know<\/em><\/strong>they probably already have the answer deep down – resist the urge to respond right away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead, try this: flip the conversation with a simple, open-ended question like: \u201cWhat would you do if I weren\u2019t here?\u201d<\/em> or  \u201cWhat\u2019s your gut telling you?\u201d, \u00ab\u00a0What would be the benefit? The risk?\u00a0\u00bb <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why?<\/strong>
Because every time you answer for them, you train them to depend<\/em> on you. But every time you ask instead, you train them to think<\/em> for themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The benefit?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udf33 You grow their confidence.
\ud83c\udf33 You free up your own mental load.
\ud83c\udf33 You build a team that thinks, not just executes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leadership isn\u2019t about having the best answers – it\u2019s about helping others discover their own. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Try it this week. You might be surprised by the insights they already have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
